Terry began teaching in the Lampeter Strasburg School District. Shortly after, he was drafted and joined the US Air Force serving at McGuire AFB, NJ, Bien Hoa AB, Vietnam and Langley AFB, VA. Upon his discharge he resumed teaching at the Spring Grove School District in PA. He finished his career at the Eastern York School District in Wrightsville, PA.
     He has two daughters, Tina and Stefanie. Tina resides somewhere in Lancaster County, PA but she has forsaken contact with the paternal side of her family. Stefanie resides in Marietta, GA with her husband, Jack, and her two daughters, Melody and Lily.
